Works in progress: Spring 2026
This reduction woodblock print measures almost 3 x 4 feet. It's a self portrait depicting myself and my brother. It was cut over the course of two weeks and printed in an edition of only three.
This front detail is from a Victorian tunnel book project. Seven prints are layered in an accordion binding to create space and distance, which is especially effective paired with one-point perspective. In finishing the project, I intend to print an edition of twelve including a title and colophon, and build a carry case for each. New this month is the clothing section of my online shop! I print exclusively on second hand upcycled clothing with oil-based fabric inks that are durable and washable.
This print is a work in progress-- check back next week to see the final print! It is a five layer color reduction woodcut printed letterpress on lightly textured bright white paper. The reference image is a lawn entirely covered in ginkgo leaves. This photo is a detail of the first three layers. The last two colors will be a deep yellow and purple.
